Checks and Balances Project Demands Kern County Board of Supervisors Cure and Correct anti-PACE Program Vote
Checks and Balances Project yesterday demanded answers regarding Brown Act violation evidence between Kern County and Bakersfield Association of Realtors.
Local contractors questioned whether officials made a deal with realtors that they would kill PACE months before the issue ever discussed in a public forum.
Recently, PACE in Kern County and Bakersfield have faced major opposition by the local Realtors association. They claim it makes homes harder to sell and that PACE will cause a sub-prime crisis so they want to kill PACE to prevent such a crisis.
